Privacy Policy

4ga ("4ga", "our", "us" or "we") respects the privacy of its online visitors and users of its products and services. 4ga complies with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as agreed to between the regulatory bodies of the United States and the European Union.

4ga recognizes the importance of protecting information collected from the users and has adopted this privacy policy ("Privacy Policy", "Policy") to inform users about how we gather, store and use information derived from their use of products, services, software, tools, addons, games, simulations, apps and websites collectively referred hereinafter as "4ga Products".

This Policy is current as of its last revision date. We reserve the right to change the Policy at any time. If material changes are made, the revised Policy will be posted with the modification date at the top of the page. Please review the Policy periodically to stay informed of any changes. Your continued use of 4ga Products after such changes constitutes your acceptance of them. If you do not accept any changes, you may choose not to use 4ga Products or opt out by sending us an appropriate notice.

  • opt out of the Terms if you do not accept new changes,
  • get further information about recent changes to the Terms,
  • subscribe to notifications about changes to the Terms.

Collection of Information

By using 4ga Products, users agree that 4ga collects and processes the Personally Identifiable Information they provide (as defined below), including information provided when creating an account or purchasing 4ga Products and in-product items. 4ga will not share any Personally Identifiable Information with other parties except as described in this policy. 4ga also processes anonymous data, aggregated or not, to analyze and produce statistics related to the habits, usage patterns, and demographics of users as a group or as individuals. Such anonymous data does not allow the identification of the users to which it relates. 4ga may share anonymous data, aggregated or not, with third parties.

Personally Identifiable Information

Information that can be used to uniquely identify a user such as name, address, or credit card number is considered "Personally Identifiable Information" referred hereinafter as "Personal Information". If you are an EU user, Personal Information means "Personal Data" within the meaning of Article 4(1) of the GDPR. You may be asked to provide Personal Information during the sign-up process, and then in connection with the use of 4ga Products. While 4ga collects Personal Information on a voluntary basis, for certain products, its collection may be a requirement for access to the 4ga Product or to process a user's order.

International Data Transfers

To provide some functionalities Your Personal Information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. By using 4ga Products, you consent to the transfer of your Personal Information to such countries, which may not have the same data protection laws as your country.

Use of Personal Information

Personal Information is used internally by 4ga to deliver, develop and improve products, content and services to which users have subscribed, and to answer users' requests. In addition, 4ga may allow third parties providing services within 4ga Products, including service providers, order processors, payment gateways, merchandise warehouses and fulfillment services, located inside and outside the European Union, to access and use Personal Information, but only to the extent necessary to provide those services.

4ga may use Personal Information provided by users to send them information about 4ga, including news about product updates, contests, events, and other promotional materials, but only if the users consent to receive such communications. 4ga will not share any Personal Information with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent. When you create an account, we collect your email address and username. We may also collect other Personal Information, including your first and last name if you consent. 4ga has no obligation to keep private Personal Information that a user makes available to other users in e.g. public chats, posted comments, user profiles and reviews.

We may also, consistent with your rights and preferences, use Personal Information:

  • To improve, develop and deliver personalized products and services
  • To personalize user experience, save your settings and preferences and provide similar features
  • To authenticate our users
  • To communicate with you, respond to your feedback and reviews
  • To understand your needs and customize your experience
  • For security purposes
  • For internal purposes such as data analysis and auditing
  • For customization of promotional offers and adverts

4ga may release Personal Information to comply with court orders or laws that require us to disclose such information. In the event of a reorganization, sale, or merger we may transfer Personal Information to the relevant third party with the user's consent, if required by law.

We may share Personal Information we collect within our family of companies. We also will share information with service providers that perform services on our behalf and under our instructions. These service providers are not authorized by us to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements. We may also share certain limited information, such as device identifiers, with advertisers and other marketing partners for the purpose of gauging the effectiveness of advertising and other marketing strategies. This applies to our internal promotions and external ads limited to users of 4ga Products with in-product ads.

We may share information about you with your social network friends when you and they use the same social features of 4ga Products.

Data Retention Period

We store Personal Information for as long as we reasonably need it to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. For example, if you register for our services, we will store your information for as long as needed to maintain your account and provide the services you requested. We periodically review Personal Information we retain to determine whether continued storage is proper. We may share, or provide you with opportunities to share, information about you with other users of 4ga Products as described in this policy. We also provide services that allow our users to communicate with 4ga and each other, in which case Personal Information may be shared and account ID and profile data may be displayed.

We are doing our best to enhance your experience on 4ga. Some data needs to be kept indefinitely. For example, comments you post or any other user voluntarily provided public information is needed for the community. You can choose to deactivate/delete your account and we will make an effort to remove or anonymize all your activity on 4ga Products based on your preferences. However, to minimize the impact on other user experience, we do not remove the data that could affect other users, we anonymize it (e.g. statistics from the match you played would be incomplete if we fully remove a player). Additionally, we are required by the tax law to store customer purchase records for up to ten years.

Cookies

We don't like cookies, which is why we try to limit their use and only use them when necessary. Some 4ga Products require cookies to enhance user experience such as keeping you logged in to the 4ga Product.

* We use reCAPTCHA to verify if a user is not a robot. reCAPTCHA uses cookies after you click submit.

** Access cookies are used to keep you logged in.

*** We may use Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA, cookies, and similar technologies to help users navigate the site, tailor the website to user needs, collect statistics and more.

In order to calculate traffic statistics, instead of using cookies, we may collect and store basic information such as timestamp, visited URL, your IP address, and basic browser information (e.g. browser version, preferred language).

Cookies are small text files generated by the server, accepted by the browser, and stored on the disk for a limited time depending on the browser settings. In most cases, the time does not exceed 2 years. These files do not contain any Personal Information about you and cannot be used to identify an individual user. You can disable cookies by not accepting or modifying your web browser settings. If you do not change these settings, you consent to the usage of cookies on our sites.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies, to help the website operators analyze how visitors use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information to evaluate the website for its users, in order to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage for website operators. We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. Google will not associate the IP address transferred in the context of Google Analytics with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use the full functionality of the website. Furthermore, users can prevent the collection of data about their use of the website and the processing of data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in through the following link.

Google reCAPTCHA is a service provided by Google to protect websites from spam and abuse. It uses cookies to analyze user interactions and verify that the user is human. The data collected is sent to Google for processing and is subject to their privacy policy.

Security Measures and Data Breaches

4ga employs industry-standard security measures to protect your Personal Information and data. However, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach, we will promptly notify affected users and take all reasonable steps to mitigate potential risks. By using 4ga Products, you acknowledge that you understand the risks involved in using online services and agree to hold 4ga harmless for any damages that may arise due to security breaches or unauthorized access to your account.

Storage and Security of Personal Information

Personal Information provided to 4ga will be collected, processed, and stored by 4ga. 4ga has taken reasonable steps to protect the information users share with us, including, but not limited to, the setup of processes, equipment, and software to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of this information.

Corrections, Updates and Removal of Personal Information

If you are concerned about the accuracy of Personal Information maintained by 4ga or wish to review, access, or correct it, or would like your Personal Information removed from 4ga's records or otherwise deactivated, please contact us. We may decline requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or are extremely impractical.

User Generated Content

4ga Products contain various forums, chats, posts, networks, and other interactive features that allow you to post, submit, publish, display, or transmit content or materials to 4ga and other users on or through 4ga Products.

Any information disclosed publicly by the user should be considered public information. Users who message one another may not know each other personally. 4ga has no obligation to keep private any Personal Information that a user makes available to other users or the public using these functions. Users should exercise caution when deciding to disclose Personal Information publicly. Additionally, users should be aware that usage information disclosed during in-product activities (e.g. player name and current player statistics in a multiplayer game) is public and may be displayed to other users.

Third-Party Links

4ga Products may contain links to third-party websites or services. Please note that this Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing your Personal Information.

Children

4ga Products, unless explicitly stated, are not intended for children under the age of 13. In all cases, we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take immediate steps to delete it. 4ga encourages parents to instruct their children to never give out Personal Information when online. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.
