This release delivers a major overhaul of the activities and notifications system, making them real-time and consistent across the entire application, while improving performance, fixing numerous edge cases, and updating dependencies.
New features:
- Major rework of the activities system across cards, lists, boards, projects, users, and instance levels
- New activity types for tasks, comments, attachments, labels, memberships, and transfers
- Separated comments from actions with full server and client support
- Added application-wide notifications and improved unread counters
- Added real-time broadcasts for board, project, user account, and instance activities
- Introduced activity labels, colors, icons, and unified clickable activity links
- Added auto-refresh for activities using lastActivityId for accurate results
- Added new server and client activity routes for card, list, board, and project actions
- Added notification filters (show only cards with notifications)
- Added support for user, project manager, and instance-level activity visibility
- Added translations for new activity messages (EN, PL, FR, PT-BR)
Bug fixes:
- Fixed multiple cases where activities were missing or duplicated when notifications existed
- Fixed activity and notification data inconsistencies after comment separation
- Fixed Trello import, CSV imports, and Getting Started project after comment changes
- Fixed invalid deletedAt date formats for comments and notifications
- Fixed incorrect activity names, messages, and missing entity references
- Fixed notification counters not updating correctly when marking as unread
- Fixed ProjectActions popup closing issues and user notification handlers
- Blocked instance and user notifications for non-admin users
- Removed conflicting user background color that clashed with popups
- Fixed ESLint configuration issues after plugin updates
Other updates:
- Improved performance of notification deletion and activity fetching
- Cleaned up obsolete activity handlers, selectors, and legacy flags
- Refactored activity selectors and helper utilities
- Updated blog links and documentation references
- Multiple dependency updates and security bumps (client and server)
- Downgraded react-datepicker for stability
